SmartComm: Gated Community Management System

Background

The management of modern gated communities is often hampered by outdated, manual processes for visitor logging, maintenance reporting, and communication. This reliance on paper-based systems creates security vulnerabilities, communication gaps, and operational inefficiencies, leading to frustration for both residents and staff.

SmartComm was developed to solve these challenges by providing a centralized, digital platform that streamlines operations, enhances security, and fosters a more connected community experience through an intuitive web and mobile application.

Project Goals

The primary goal of SmartComm was to deliver a secure, efficient, and user-friendly platform. Key objectives included:

  • Developing a mobile/web app for residents and community staff.
  • Implementing a robust system for visitor access code generation and verification.
  • Creating a streamlined system for reporting and tracking maintenance issues.
  • Establishing a push notification system for timely community updates.
